Melbourne will be hosting its third FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) off-season event in July 2024 after a successful 2023 and 2022 Event. We hope you can join us in the 2024 Victorian winter school holidays.

Dates: Friday 05 July to Sunday 07 July 2024
Times: Open to spectators from 9am - 5pm across all days
Location: Blackburn High School, 60 Springfield Road, Blackburn, Victoria 3130

Information for New Teams

This is an Off-Season event (similar to the Duel Down Under). Teams aiming to qualify for the FRC World Championships in Houston will need to compete at the Southern Cross Regional held in March.

The MRT is free to attend for all teams thanks to our genourous sponsors and volunteers who share our vision to grow the number of FRC teams and students in Australia.

The MRT 2024 Expression of Interest Form is now available for coaches to complete to register your teams interest to attend.

This year we have introduced some key changes:

    • MRT is now open to registrations from international teams and returning FRC teams
    • Second robot slots may be available for teams this year, subject to the number of total registrations
    • Teams can register their interest to bring a second robot via our EOI form above when registering their team

Entrance to this event is free and open to the public. If you are interested to see what FRC is all about, then this is the event for you.
